Bambox is a technology impact startup based in Tel Aviv, Israel, founded by Roy Shihor, a data analyst with a passion for sustainability. Our mission is to revolutionize the supply chain of tissue rolls and accelerate the transition to sustainable paper. Our story began when Roy discovered that mainstream toilet paper in Eastern Asia is made of bamboo.

Inspired by the idea of using bamboo instead of tree-based paper, Roy encountered challenges in importing the products due to high costs, fuel consumption, and emissions. Determined to find a solution, he realized that the design of the tissue roll had remained unchanged for over 130 years, wasting up to 70% of its space. Driven by his vision to impact the way we consume consumer products, Roy set out to redesign the kitchen and toilet tissue roll.

The result is Bambox, a box with the same functionality and compatibility as a roll, but optimized for storage space and solving supply chain challenges.
