About Hello Ruby
Hello Ru is the brand behind Hello Ruby, the world's most whimsical way to learn about technology, computing, and coding. With a focus on curiosity, playfulness, and logic, Hello Ruby provides tools for kids, parents, and educators to understand programming in a fun and creative way. It all started with a book that has now been published in over 22 languages, including Japanese, Korean, Dutch, and Finnish.
This book quickly became the most funded children's book on Kickstarter, surpassing its funding goal in just 3. 5 hours. Hello Ruby has since expanded to include online exercises and Adventures in Coding, which has been published in over 30 languages.
Hello Ruby's founder, Linda Liukas, is a programmer, storyteller, and illustrator from Helsinki. She is a central figure in the programming world and has worked on edutech initiatives before they were even called that. Hello Ruby believes that code is the 21st-century literacy and that it is essential for our kids to learn programming logic and culture.
