Sheremetevsky Shelter, run by the charitable foundation “Into Good Hands,” is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization in Khimki, Moscow Region, dedicated to rescuing dogs and helping them find caring homes. For ten years, its team has focused particularly on dogs of breeds often considered challenging, including American Staffordshire Terriers and pit bulls. The shelter is funded through charitable contributions and donations, and relies on public support to continue its work.

Its mission is to help dogs regain trust in people and have the opportunity to live as loved members of a family. The foundation arranges adoptions, carefully seeking suitable homes for the dogs in its care, and offers temporary fostering as another way to help. People can also join the shelter as volunteers, make donations, or buy souvenirs from its shop to support its work. The website introduces dogs currently awaiting homes and shares shelter news, stories, and photographs. According to the organization, it has rescued more than 3,000 dogs, with many already placed in homes.
