H.E.L.P. (Help Us, Help Them) is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization serving the Fox Valley area of Illinois, about 40 miles west of Chicago. It rescues stray and abandoned cats and dogs, providing veterinary care, food, and shelter while they wait to be adopted into loving homes. Rather than operating a facility, H.E.L.P. places every rescued animal in a volunteer foster home. This allows the organization to learn about each pet and help match them with a suitable person or family.

H.E.L.P. features cats and dogs available for adoption and shares adoption stories, event information, and guidance through its FAQ resources. Its foster program seeks homes for adult cats and dogs, kittens, and puppies in Kane County; the organization supplies veterinary care, food, and other supplies, while foster caregivers provide attention and care. Volunteers also support animal care, adoption events, fundraising, marketing, and administrative work. Community members can help by volunteering, fostering, donating, attending adoption events, or purchasing items through the organization’s online wish list.
