About 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
IMALIVE is an innovative program dedicated to fostering mental health awareness and suicide prevention across college campuses in North America. Founded by H. Reese Butler II and Elena Butler, the creators of the National Hopeline Network 1-800-SUICIDE and the world’s first virtual crisis center, IMALIVE has been actively engaging young adults since 2010. The organization hosts interactive and educational Mental Health Fairs designed to recognize warning signs, stimulate conversations about mental health, and promote a sense of community among students and staff.
These events offer a comprehensive package that includes marketing support and tailored programming to meet the unique needs of each campus. IMALIVE collaborates with Student Life, Counseling Services, and Health and Wellness teams to create a welcoming environment for students to seek assistance. By actively participating in these events, students enjoy engaging volunteer experiences, while also benefiting from valuable resources designed to enhance mental health support initiatives on campus.
