Help Sami Kick Cancer

The Dreaming Tree Lodge is part of Dreaming Tree Ranch, a retreat created by the Help Sami Kick Cancer Foundation to support families facing pediatric cancer. The foundation grew from Sami Curtis’s lifelong commitment to helping others. After her 2015 glioblastoma diagnosis, Sami raised more than $100,000 for the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund. Following her death in 2017, her family and friends continued her mission, first providing financial support to families affected by childhood cancer and later creating a place where families could spend time together beyond the hospital environment.

Located in the foothills of New York’s Adirondack Mountains, the ranch includes more than 200 acres and a 4,000-square-foot lodge. Since welcoming its first family in 2019, it has hosted families for tailored stays featuring activities such as horseback rides, hikes, and bonfires, as well as time to rest and reconnect. The organization also offers financial relief, emotional support, and a community for families navigating a child’s cancer journey.
