About Hemel en Aarde Keramiek
Hemel en Aarde Keramiek is a ceramics brand based in Haarlem, the Netherlands, creating contemporary urns to help people remember and honor someone they have lost. Its designs are intentionally understated: simple, minimalist objects that do not immediately look like traditional urns. Made to be beautiful and comforting to hold, they offer a personal way to feel connected to a loved one.
The collection includes porcelain urns and mini urns, with designs that can serve additional purposes as memorial objects. Some can hold flowers, accommodate a tealight, or provide a place to keep a piece of the deceased’s jewelry. The urns require only a small portion of the ashes, making it possible for several family members to keep a small amount, or to combine keeping ashes with scattering them. This flexibility can support shared remembrance and grieving.
For those who do not find a suitable design in the existing collection, Hemel en Aarde Keramiek also offers custom urn development.
