About Hemingway Society
The Hemingway Society is dedicated to promoting the study and appreciation of Ernest Hemingway's literary legacy. Founded in 1965 by Mary Hemingway, the society fosters scholarly research, creative exploration, and public interest in the author’s life and works. The society's flagship publication, *The Hemingway Review*, offers biannual scholarly articles and research on Hemingway, while the *Hemingway Letters Project* is an ambitious initiative producing a comprehensive edition of the author's correspondence, set to span seventeen volumes.
Members can participate in numerous offerings, including annual grants for emerging scholars, access to an engaging podcast titled *One True Podcast*, and biennial conferences held in locations significant to Hemingway’s life. The society also administers the prestigious PEN/Hemingway Award, honoring exceptional debut works by American authors. Through its initiatives, publications, and events, the Hemingway Society serves as a vibrant hub for scholars, fans, and new readers, ensuring that Hemingway's influence continues to resonate in contemporary literature
