Hemo Aralar

Hemo Aralar, the Association of Hemophilia of Aragón and La Rioja, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to improve the quality of life of people with hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders in Aragón and La Rioja. Its work focuses on supporting individuals and families and promoting patients’ personal response to their condition, with the aim of encouraging their full integration into society.

The association provides information, guidance and social support through a service established in 1991 and staffed by a social worker, with support from its board. It also offers year-round psychological care, with provision in Zaragoza and Logroño, and a rehabilitation service launched in 2019 to address physiotherapy needs among people with hemophilia and hemophilic arthropathy. In addition to these services, Hemo Aralar shares information about activities, awareness and prevention campaigns, and research and training projects. The organization also invites people to learn about ways to donate and collaborate.
