About Hemraj Artist
Hemraj is the art practice and online gallery of Delhi-based Indian artist Hem Raj, presenting his paintings, drawings, and sculptures to art lovers in India and internationally. Born in Delhi in 1968, Hem Raj earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting from the College of Art, New Delhi, in 1991 and 1993. His abstract paintings invite viewers to engage with colour, sound, rhythm, and the experience of the present moment.
The website features artworks for visitors to explore and enquire about, including the Eternal Reminiscence series of oil-on-canvas paintings created in 2020. Hem Raj has held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows across India, with work shown at venues including Bill Lowe Gallery in the United States and Galleria Müller and Plate in Germany. His distinctions include the National Award from Lalit Kala Akademi, and he presented a solo booth at India Art Fair 2014.
The gallery promotes accessible art collections and offers a point of contact for enquiries about available works
