Hεn Mpoano is a non-profit organization based in Takoradi, Ghana, with a mission to promote inclusive and integrated management of coastal and marine ecosystems for the benefit of nature and people. With a focus on fisheries governance, coastal landscapes, sustainable livelihoods, and gender equality, Hεn Mpoano works closely with government, private sector, and civil society to provide technical, policy, and extension support.

In the area of fisheries governance, the organization conducts research, engages stakeholders, and advocates for sustainable fisheries management. They also address coastal landscape issues through integrated and participatory approaches, using a variety of tools and working at multiple scales. Furthermore, Hεn Mpoano implements sustainable livelihood interventions to reduce poverty and food insecurity in the communities they work with. Their gender program area conducts assessments and analyses, and develops strategies for gender mainstreaming.

In collaboration with local and international partners, Hεn Mpoano is actively working to address food insecurity, climate change, over-fishing, gender inequality, urbanization, and poverty. With years of experience, they have reached numerous communities and beneficiaries through their projects, improving access to reproductive healthcare, promoting livelihoods, and engaging individuals in their initiatives.
