HERASMUS Cooperativa Sociale is a social cooperative based in Formia, founded in 1990 at the initiative of the Associazione Famiglie Disabili Formia. It supports adults with disabilities and people facing disadvantage through social care, rehabilitation and opportunities for workplace inclusion. Its work brings together social and productive activities, with internal workshops that help participants develop individual skills and contribute through practical creative work.

The cooperative operates three facilities: a day centre and the residential homes La Casa di Annamaria and La Casa di Giovanna. These services provide support for people with severe disabilities, including residential care for those who need ongoing assistance. Its multidisciplinary team includes healthcare, social-care and education professionals, and provides personalised support intended to promote wellbeing and autonomy.

HERASMUS also offers home assistance for people with physical, psychological or sensory disabilities, working in partnership with families and healthcare providers. Through its civil service opportunities, the cooperative encourages young people to take part in community life and develop personal and professional skills.
