Herberg Papilio

Herberg Papilio is a growing Dutch foundation that supports families after the death of a child by offering relaxed, low-pressure weeks for people who have experienced a similar loss. Its approach is guided by the motto “Everything is allowed; nothing is required,” creating space for each family to take part in a way that feels right for them.

During a week, families stay in their own holiday cottage at Erfgoedlogies d’ Ouffenhoff in Baarlo, North Limburg. A shared meeting space offers opportunities to join activities, talk with others, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee. The programme includes organised activities, while families are also free to spend time together and explore the area. The aim is to make it easier to meet peers and share experiences in an informal setting.

Herberg Papilio publishes information about upcoming and past weeks, events, news, and ways to donate. Planned weeks listed by the foundation include 10–16 October 2026 and 24–30 April 2027.
