Herdade do Vau is a hotel in Portugal’s Alentejo region, near the Guadiana River and within reach of the historic cities of Beja, Serpa and Mértola. Close to Guadiana Valley Natural Park, the property offers a peaceful setting surrounded by nature and notable biodiversity. It began as a traditional country house and was rebuilt in 2012, following a “Biochic” approach that brings together environmental responsibility, sustainability and the understated elegance of the Alentejo.
