Heritage Crafts is the national charity dedicated to celebrating, supporting and safeguarding traditional craft skills across the UK. The organisation works to keep skills developed over generations accessible and thriving, while encouraging discussion of their value today and in the future. Its resources help the public discover makers and understand the range and condition of heritage crafts, including those at risk of disappearing.
The Makers Directory and craft map showcase craftspeople, while the craft inventory and Red List provide information on UK heritage crafts and their status. Heritage Crafts also supports practitioners through training bursaries, the Endangered Crafts Fund, awards, events, jobs and training opportunities. Its work includes advocating for craft skills, raising awareness of makers and distributing grants to help endangered crafts continue.
