– Heritage Lane Farm

Heritage Lane Farm is a small, family-run retirement boarding farm in northern Illinois, serving horse owners across the Midwest. Located within reach of Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee, and major equine hospitals, the farm provides a private, home-like setting and personal, loving care for a small herd of up to six horses. Its retirement boarding is especially suited to former racehorses: the farm’s owner understands the sensitivity of off-track Thoroughbreds and aims to give them a peaceful, well-earned retirement.

Services include retirement horse boarding and hand walks, with visiting hours and a gallery available for people interested in learning more about the farm. Heritage Lane Farm also offers firewood delivery for local homes and features laying hens and chickens, organic eggs, and Nigerian Dwarf goats. Whether owners are seeking a tranquil home for an equine companion or customers need farm products and firewood, Heritage Lane Farm presents itself as a welcoming, small-scale operation grounded in attentive care and rural living
