Hermosa Volleyball Academy

Hermosa Volleyball Academy is a family-run beach volleyball school serving players in the Los Angeles South Bay. The academy offers classes for all skill levels, from beginners to advanced adults, as well as youth sessions for ages 10 to 15. Its instruction emphasizes sound mechanics, frequent ball contacts, safe movement, teamwork, strategy, and practical feedback in an engaging, social setting.

Classes use structured drills and pair participants with others at a similar level; sessions are generally capped at 15 participants, or 20 for beginner classes, with multiple instructors in most sessions. Youth classes cover foundational sand footwork, court coverage, and ball skills, then finish with adapted, free-play games. Adult beginners work on footwork, body position, serving, shooting, and spiking, while intermediate and advanced players develop tactical awareness, communication, and offensive choices.

The academy also arranges private group instruction for groups of one to 15. Its instructors bring extensive playing, coaching, teaching, and tournament experience, and the school welcomes families and players seeking both skill development and community
