Welcome to Heron Innovations Factory! We are an owner-managed, globally active family business located in Dornbirn, Austria, at the heart of Europe's tri-border region on Lake Constance. Our roots lie in the development and construction of tailor-made assembly machines. Over the years, this has grown into five independent subsidiary companies.

Despite their autonomy, the former Heron Sondermaschinenbau GmbH has not lost its connection to its origins. In the Heron Innovations Factory, all the companies benefit from an inspiring environment under one roof. We serve as a service provider and innovation driver for our subsidiaries, fostering collaboration and synergy among them.

Our core business includes finance, coaching, personnel, and product development. We also focus on nurturing young talents through apprenticeships in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, machining technology, and design. Another long-standing project is our childcare facility, Löwenzahn und Seidenpfote.

Our goal is to demonstrate the impact of a fully connected factory on people, products, and processes, particularly in terms of Industry 4. 0 and the Lean culture. Our modular building design and modern open workplaces allow us to adapt flexibly and dynamically to change, just like a startup.
