Le fromage de Herve fait l'admiration des amateurs depuis le Moyen-Age. Ses formes carrées, sa couleur de brique chaude, son arôme typique caractérisent un fromage inséparable de la région qui l'a enfanté : le Pays de Herve.

Terre de Fromages is a Belgian cheesemaker rooted in the Pays de Herve, a region whose traditions and expertise shape its distinctive cheeses. Its flagship Herve cheese, admired since the Middle Ages, is known for its square shape, warm brick-red color and characteristic aroma. The protected designation of origin (AOP) Herve cheese is presented as Belgium’s only cheese with this designation, reflecting the connection between the product, its terroir and knowledge passed down through generations.
The company transforms milk from the equivalent of 25 dairy farms in the Pays de Herve and offers a broad range of cheeses. These include mild, strong and specially matured Herve cheeses, as well as Val-Dieu abbey cheeses, brie, blue, goat’s, creamy and spreadable cheeses, and raclette products. Its range is available in different formats, including blocks, slices and cubes.
Terre de Fromages shares recipes, product information and practical cheese advice through its website. Its products reach Belgian retailers, specialist shops, restaurants and wholesalers, with around 10% of production exported to countries including the Netherlands, France, Germany, Sweden and Canada.
