Herz Hof Herde

Herz Hof Herde is a family-run farm and equestrian provider at Bergerhof in Ainring, near Salzburg, Germany. Led by Kathrin and Josef Mühlbauer, together with their family and riding trainer and educator Johanna Köster, the brand centers on the connection between people and animals. Its philosophy, “Einfach sein” (“simply be”), emphasizes welcoming each person as they are and supporting them at an individual pace.

Services include animal-assisted therapy, equestrian education, and riding lessons for beginners and more experienced riders. Lessons can be arranged individually or in groups, with children’s small-group programs introducing them to horses in an age-appropriate way. The farm also offers activities for groups, wild pedagogy, and horse-themed birthday parties, with options such as a pony makeover or unicorn ride. Waldpony outings invite participants to enjoy adventures with the farm’s ponies.

Through gentle activities and contact with animals, Herz Hof Herde aims to support movement, emotional well-being, communication, and social connection. Its approach is designed for people of different ages, circumstances, and levels of experience.
