Selina Appel is an independent funeral celebrant serving Lauterbach, Alsfeld, Schotten, Fulda, Bad Hersfeld and nearby communities in Hesse, Germany. Her work centres on creating personal, heartfelt farewell ceremonies that honour the life, character and passions of the person who has died. Rather than relying on generic speeches or empty rituals, she draws on colourful memories and meaningful details to help families celebrate a life and preserve its stories.

Her services include a compassionate, personal consultation, an individual funeral address and a ceremony shaped around the family’s needs and wishes. The ceremonies are not bound by religious or cultural requirements, allowing each farewell to reflect the person being remembered. Selina Appel is a certified independent funeral celebrant (IHK) and holds a Master of Science in psychology. With personal experience of bereavement, she aims to accompany families through grief and support them in creating a dignified goodbye. Her approach is intended to evoke heartfelt, grateful memories and help relatives look back on their shared time together.
