About NJ HESAA
The Student Advisory Committee (SAC) plays a crucial role in shaping New Jersey's student financial aid policies. Comprised of nine full-time undergraduate students, the SAC fosters communication between students and the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA). SAC members represent various sectors and grades of New Jersey higher education, providing feedback on state financial aid programs.
Serving as voting members on the HESAA Board, the SAC ensures student voices are heard in policy decisions. Students can apply to join the SAC annually, contributing their perspectives and helping shape the future of student assistance programs. Meetings are held throughout the academic year, accommodating members' schedules.
