Het Blaauw Laaken Kunstkabinet is an art gallery in the fortified town of Heusden, the Netherlands, led by Gerrie Bol-Klinkenberg. The gallery presents contemporary realistic and figurative art, with intimate exhibitions of painting and sculpture by established and emerging Dutch and international artists. Many of the artists it exhibits are represented in public and private collections.
The gallery’s programme includes exhibitions, artist features and publications, offering visitors ways to explore the work and stories of its artists. It also showcases works available from its collection, including paintings by Kees Bol, Henri Bol, Frans Manders and Carel Huls. Kees Bol, whose work includes landscapes, still lifes and portraits, and his son Henri Bol, known for still lifes, are highlighted as the gallery’s two artists of the house. The current exhibition features Kees Bol’s flower paintings.
Visitors can see exhibitions at Engstraat 14 from Thursday to Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
