De Gordel

De Gordel is a vibrant cultural, sporting, and tourism event held in the Green Belt surrounding Brussels, designed to engage the community and promote fitness. This annual festival features various outdoor activities, including cycling and hiking, along with musical performances and entertainment tailored for all ages. Scheduled for September 7, 2025, the upcoming edition will spotlight Zellik, a district of Asse, enhancing the local experience with a diverse program.

Participants can easily register online for free, joining events like the Gordel Pelotons, which offer a unique opportunity to ride in a professional cycling team at a reduced rate if registered by August 23. Last year, the event attracted approximately 28,000 visitors, showcasing a growing interest in community and leisure activities. The Gordel not only aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through physical activities but also fosters social connections by bringing people together to celebrate the rich culture of the Flemish Rand.
