Het Kinderhart

Het Kinderhart is a child and youth therapy and coaching practice based in Bergen, North Holland, serving families in Bergen, Schoorl, Heiloo, Egmond, Alkmaar and nearby areas. Led by Lotte L. de Gruijter, the practice supports children aged 4–12 and young people aged 12–18 who are experiencing difficulties such as insecurity, anger, sadness or fear, as well as parents seeking help with upbringing and family patterns.

Its integrative approach is tailored to each child’s needs and focuses on personal growth, resilience and learning to address challenges. Sessions may draw on creative and body-oriented methods, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and elements of cognitive behavioural therapy. The practice also offers PlusCoaching, sibling coaching, support for children affected by divorce, and services involving the wider family or schools.

Parents can access guidance and workshops, including Hartgrondig Opvoeden and Introductie Workshop Kinderhartjes. Het Kinderhart describes its work as providing a safe place where children and young people can build on their own strengths
