Starinita Oy is a Finnish auction company jointly owned by the Finnish Horse Breeders’ Association (SHKL ry) and the Finnish Trotting Horse Breeders’ Association. Its best-known event is the traditional annual foal auction, a showcase for domestic trotting-horse breeding. Held in September at Jokimaa in Lahti, the auction offers one-year-old Standardbred trotters and Finnish horses for sale, bringing breeders, buyers and horse enthusiasts together to view many foals in one place.

Starinita supports the event with sales catalogues, visitor information, auction terms, results archives and news about participating horses. Visitors can attend in person, while video coverage and online bidding extend access beyond the venue. The company also directs buyers and sellers to Travera, an internet auction platform for horses, and provides assistance with buying and selling enquiries. Its website features past auction results and examples of successful racehorses sold through the event, helping visitors explore its track record. Through the auction and related resources, Starinita connects Finnish horse breeding with prospective owners and supports the discovery and sale of young trotters.
