Hevospalvelu Rauhala

Hevospalvelu Rauhala is a horse-care business run by Satu Pasanen, a trained farrier based in Karstula, Finland. The business provides shoeing and hoof-trimming services across Central Finland, Central Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia. Satu has lifelong experience with horses and completed introductory farriery training in Kiuruvesi in 2022, a vocational qualification in Kaustinen in 2023, and a further professional qualification in Kiuruvesi during 2024–2025. She plans to continue her studies toward a specialist farriery qualification in autumn 2026.

Alongside traditional farriery, Hevospalvelu Rauhala supports hoof care without shoes. Satu is trained to fit Finnish Flex Hoof Boots, offering appointments at the horse’s stable or remote guidance, as well as sales of Flex boots and replacement parts. Her approach is calm and attentive, respecting each horse and considering the owner’s wishes. Services are informed by knowledge of equine anatomy and physiology, with the aim of supporting hoof function and natural movement. The business serves both recreational and competition horses, tailoring hoof-care solutions to individual needs.
