HeyHugo is a Danish childcare service that helps families find and book babysitters across Denmark. Through its app, families can browse available sitters, request a particular person or get help finding a suitable match, and manage booking and payment in one place. Customers pay for the hours worked, with no subscription or minimum fee; the listed rate starts at DKK 200 per hour, and payment is made through the app after the booking is confirmed. Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before a shift begins.
Safety and support are central to the service. HeyHugo collects and manually reviews each sitter’s child and criminal records, and sitters sign an agreement digitally using MitID before approval. Families can share feedback after a shift, while HeyHugo offers personal assistance before, during and after childcare. If a requested sitter is unavailable, families can open the shift to other sitters nearby.
HeyHugo also offers flexible work for babysitters, who choose the shifts and families that suit them.
