Niki López is a distinguished producer, showrunner, writer, director, and artist in the animation industry, recognized for her innovative storytelling and artistic talent. She is the creative mind behind the Emmy-nominated series Santiago of the Seas, which has garnered acclaim for its engaging narratives and vibrant animation. In addition to this success, López is developing a new spooky project titled The Other Side through Nickelodeon's Intergalactic Shorts Program, showcasing her versatility and commitment to expanding the animation landscape.

López's journey began as an intern at Nickelodeon in 2010, where she enhanced her artistic craft as a color designer on several beloved animated series including Glitch Techs and The Fairly Odd Parents. Hailing from Puerto Rico, her upbringing was enriched by adventure and a rich imagination, leading her to pursue a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Arts & Design.
