Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê e.V. مانگی سووری کوردستان

Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê e.V., also known as the Kurdish Red Crescent, is a non-profit humanitarian organisation providing assistance in Kurdistan and crisis regions worldwide. Active since 1993, it supports people in need regardless of ethnicity, religion or political conviction, with a focus on transparent, efficient aid and lasting improvements to people’s lives. The organisation reports working in 12 countries, with more than 200 active volunteers, and says it has helped over 50,000 people.

Its programmes address medical needs through mobile clinics, surgery and medication, and support children and refugee students through projects, school construction, teaching and scholarships. Heyva Sor also provides emergency assistance to displaced people, including tents, food, clothing and psychosocial support. Other initiatives include protection and trauma support for women and children, winter supplies for families, and campaigns such as Eid Qurban. The association welcomes one-time, monthly and yearly donations, which are tax-deductible, and publishes annual reports about its work. Based in Troisdorf, Germany, Heyva Sor shares project updates and information through its website and newsletter.
