Haemophilia Foundation Western Australia (HFWA) represents and supports people affected by bleeding disorders across Western Australia, including individuals, families and the wider community. The foundation provides reliable information about haemophilia, von Willebrand disease and a range of other inherited and acquired bleeding disorders. Its resources cover diagnosis, treatment and care, living well, travel, gene therapy, womenβs health, youth, ageing, and related issues such as hepatitis C and HIV.
HFWA connects community members through peer support groups, events, workshops and personal stories, and offers information about treatment services and treatment centres. It also helps people access tools such as the Australian Bleeding Disorders Registry and MyABDR, and provides publications, videos, webinars, podcasts, reports and a newsletter. Through news, advocacy and community activities, the foundation raises awareness and supports participation by people with bleeding disorders. Visitors can become members, volunteer, donate, join events or subscribe to its e-news.
