About 日本医療政策機構 HGPI
日本医療政策機構（HGPI: Health and Global Policy Institute）is a nonprofit, independent, nonpartisan healthcare policy think tank established in 2004. Since its inception, HGPI has strived to achieve citizen-led healthcare policies by acting as a neutral think tank that brings together a wide range of stakeholders and provides policy options, thereby making a significant impact on society. A key emphasis for HGPI has been a global perspective.
They have consistently communicated information in both Japanese and English, as well as actively engaging with international think tanks. In recent years, the aging population, increasing chronic diseases, widening inequalities, and deteriorating fiscal conditions have become urgent challenges in major countries. In response, HGPI has set agendas, presented new perspectives and issues, and aims to be a driver of change in healthcare policies.
