HG Sporting Center is a sailing and nautical training school based in Sardinia, Italy. It teaches offshore sailing on cruising boats through courses led by instructors with experience and qualifications from the Italian Sailing Federation, the Royal Yachting Association, and Les Glénans. Its programs welcome both beginners seeking an introduction to offshore sailing and more experienced sailors looking to refine their skills.
The center also provides theoretical and practical training for Italian boating licenses, qualifying students to operate sailing and/or motor vessels within 12 nautical miles of the coast or without distance limits. It is certified as a nautical school by the Metropolitan City of Cagliari. Its courses cover chartwork, GMDSS radio communications, sailing, heavy-weather navigation, meteorology, mooring, racing, and safety and rescue. HG Sporting Center’s activities are overseen by Hoder Grassi, a geologist and sailing instructor who holds Italian, RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean, RYA shore-based instructor, and Les Glénans instructor qualifications.
