HIDES La Rioja is the regional association of dental hygienists in La Rioja, Spain, and forms part of the wider HIDES national organization. Founded on 19 April 1991, it works to defend the profession’s general interests and support dental hygienists in their professional development. HIDES itself has roots dating to 1986 and brings together associations across ten Spanish autonomous communities.
The association offers training for dental hygienists, including in-person courses in La Rioja and online or distance-learning options to help professionals update their knowledge of new techniques and developments in oral healthcare. It also shares information about course registration, documentation, other courses and professional congresses. Members can access special discounts on training, and can apply online or by submitting an application form. The stated membership fee is eight euros per month, payable on a semi-annual basis.
HIDES La Rioja also provides a job board for employment offers and requests, information about the dental hygienist profession, and news and educational content on oral health.
