Hidrovolcan is a Honduran capital company that is constructing the El Tornillito hydroelectric project. This project aims to generate energy for 120,000 households and contribute to mitigating the constant floods in the Sula Valley. Hidrovolcan is committed to good social and environmental practices, working closely with the communities in its influence area, in strict compliance with the current legal regulations in Honduras.

As part of its environmental strategy, Hidrovolcan has started planting 200,000 trees in a 20-acre deforested area on El Volcán hill in San Antonio de Cortés. These trees are being cultivated in the company's private nursery and represent the diverse species found in the reforestation areas. The reforestation efforts are expected to continue for up to three years, resulting in the recovery of 80 acres of land, which will serve as an important wildlife corridor.

Hidrovolcan's commitment to environmental management and corporate social responsibility has earned recognition from the Municipality of Villanueva. The company celebrated Children's Day by organizing a colorful and joyful event for over 1,600 schoolchildren from communities in the influence area of the El Tornillito hydroelectric plant.
