The Association “En souvenir de High Ball” preserves the memory of the B-17 bomber High Ball and the people connected with its crash near Muzillac. Its website focuses on Mission 69, flown on 28 June 1943, and places the event in the wider context of the 351st Bombardment Group and Station 110 at Poebrook. Visitors can explore information about the flight plan, the crash site, the aircraft and its crew, including crew positions and the men’s graves in Bourg.
Historical resources cover the B-17, Boeing’s factory, archival images, aircraft armament, the forces involved and the mission’s wartime setting. The site also brings together testimonies, accounts of escape networks, propaganda posters, bibliographic references and related material about Saint-Nazaire. The association shares news about its activities, ceremonies and the inauguration of the High Ball memorial stele, as well as information about its purpose, statutes and board.
Through these records and commemorations, it honours those who lost their future in wartime service and helps keep their story accessible
