About highdesertoutfitting.com
High Desert Ranch & Outfitting LLC is a family-owned and operated Colorado outfitting business led by Randy and Cheyenne, whose hunting and guiding experience spans three generations. Founded by Randy’s father in 2012, the ranch is rooted in preserving family traditions, caring for the land, and welcoming guests into the family’s home. The outfit offers guided hunts for elk, mule deer, antelope, bison, and mountain lion, using private ranch property and permitted public lands in Colorado.
Its private land includes 3,000 acres in GMU 441 and 7,400 acres in GMU 13, with additional BLM permits in hunting units. To support sustainable wildlife management, the family limits the number of hunters and schedules resting periods between hunts. High Desert Ranch & Outfitting also encourages women and young people to take part in hunting, offering discounts for these groups.
The business is licensed, bonded, and insured, and operates as Colorado Outfitter #2805, with a Routt County permit
