Highfield Tennis Club is an incorporated charitable society established on 20 January 1931. Based in Gleniti, Timaru, the club describes itself as warm and welcoming, with a strong community atmosphere and a commitment to tennis at both competitive and social levels. It supports players of different ages and abilities through quality coaching, well-maintained facilities, and regular tennis programs.
The club also encourages participation through junior coaching and interclub opportunities, with junior activities included in membership. Its program includes Cardio Tennis, a ladies-only session open to tennis players and beginners; equipment can be provided for participants who do not have a racket. Membership is open to new joiners throughout the year, with annual memberships covering the season from 1 October to 30 September.
Fees include levies supporting Tennis South Canterbury and Tennis New Zealand, while senior players entering interclub competition may need to pay an additional fee. Highfield works with players, families, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and committees to grow tennis in the community and support the regional tennis association
