No-one is better place or more qualified to authenticate the complete traceability of pedigree Highland Cattle. The Herd Book was first published in 1885 and the Society has been listing pedigree Highlands ever since.

About Highland Cattle Society
The Highland Cattle Society is a dedicated organization representing pedigree Highland Cattle breeders across the UK and beyond. Founded in 1884, it has been preserving the valuable native breed ever since. As a 21st-century society, they offer fully computerized breed records, ensuring full traceability of this unique breed.
As the custodian of the breed, the Highland Cattle Society is responsible for stewardship of the pedigree Herd Book, setting and maintaining breed standards, providing education and technical support to members and third parties, ensuring the welfare of Highland Cattle, and promoting the breed nationally and internationally.
