High Tail Hikes is a brand that offers professional dog walking services as well as a range of high-quality dog walking gear and accessories. Based in Oakland, California since 2015, High Tail Hikes was founded by Liz Williams and her husband Gregg. They started making leashes and long lines for Liz's dog walking groups using a remarkable material called BioThane.
The vibrant colors, soft and grippy feel, and waterproof/odor-proof qualities of BioThane made Liz's job easier and more enjoyable. The lightweight drag lines used on hikes allowed the dogs freedom of movement while ensuring their safety and quick and easy control when needed. When the walking business temporarily closed in 2020 due to Covid, Liz opened an online storefront to sell her leashes, which led to the growth of High Tail Hikes as a product business.
High Tail Hikes is dedicated to providing customizable, high-quality walking gear and products that make living, walking, training, and adventuring with your pup a joy. They advocate for positive reinforcement training techniques and aim to share resources with their compassionate community of dog guardians. Join High Tail Hikes in experiencing more joy in your life together with your furry friends!
