Highway Hero

Highway Hero is the public-facing home of the Highway Hero Honoree Scholarship Fund, an initiative established in alignment with Highway Crossroads Credit Union’s commitment to supporting members throughout their lives. The fund awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate leadership, community involvement, and academic achievement, recognizing them as future leaders. Scholarship availability and award amounts depend on funding, and recipients are announced at the credit union’s Annual Business Meeting.

The organization raises support through its annual golf tournament, offering opportunities to register, become a sponsor, and explore past events. It also shares information about the scholarship application process, previous recipients, and ways to stay informed through its mailing list. Highway Hero highlights Highway Crossroads CU’s GiveBack program as another way to support the credit union: its giveback card is designed to encourage participation and help grow the organization and its interchange income. Based in Sikeston, Missouri, Highway Hero provides contact information for inquiries and connects supporters with its scholarship and fundraising activities.
