The Hungarian Innovation Hub (HIH) was created to support the launch of new start-ups and to bring together those who believe in the power of good ideas and collaborative work. Founded in 2023 in cooperation between the Budapest Metropolitan University, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and the John von Neumann University, with the participation of the Central Bank of Hungary. The Hungarian Innovation Hub is an open platform, the first of its kind in Hungary, created with the intention of supporting innovative initiatives by students from universities of different profiles. They complement each other to develop more complete, marketable start-up companies, thus creating an innovation ecosystem that can become a dominant player on an international level. We have a well-equipped multifunctional space located in the heart of the METU Infopark Campus, in Building I, where students of the three founding universities can work on their ideas or host their own events.
