Hilariumfestival

Hilari(um) is a land art festival based in Cardedeu, Spain, bringing together contemporary art, nature and rural life. Centered around the Sant Hilari hermitage and the Cal Ros estate, the festival invites visitors to reflect on climate change and humanity’s relationship with the natural environment. Over the course of a week, participating artists live and work in the area, creating temporary installations that respond to the landscape and encourage fresh ways of seeing it.

The festival offers more than outdoor artworks. Its program includes talks, documentary screenings, workshops, collaborative creations, performances and small concerts, creating opportunities for visitors to discover, participate and imagine new ways of inhabiting the world. Set among vineyards, fields, woods and historic rural buildings, Hilari(um) draws inspiration from a landscape where nature, culture and agricultural heritage meet. The organization also presents past festival editions, artist information, family workshops and artist residencies, and invites community participation and collaboration.
