Hilary Wood Historical Characters provides interactive historical theatre experiences for schools and educational settings. The company brings history to life through visits from presenters who portray historical figures, allowing pupils to encounter the past without leaving their school. Sessions are adaptable for learners of all ages and are designed to enhance the history curriculum.
Presenters are both actors and historians, bringing performance skills together with in-depth knowledge of their chosen subjects. Each visit includes storytelling, object handling and drama activities, giving children several ways to engage with historical topics. These activities make the sessions participatory as well as informative, helping schools create memorable learning experiences around history.
Schools can contact Hilary Wood Historical Characters to discuss a visit and its suitability for their learners. Enquiries can be made by email at [email protected] or by phone on 07711 525740. The company is registered under company number 9961947.
