Hilfsgemeinschaft der Blinden und Sehschwachen Österreichs is a prominent brand with a history spanning over 85 years, actively championing the rights of blind and visually impaired individuals in Austria. As the country's oldest and largest self-help organization for the visually impaired, we represent the interests of approximately 318,000 individuals with visual impairments. At Hilfsgemeinschaft, we offer an array of services to support those in need.

We provide free consultation services to help blind and visually impaired individuals navigate daily challenges and answer their questions. Additionally, we offer social and psychological counseling, assistance with social benefits, and guidance on low vision aids and devices. Our organization also facilitates orientation and mobility training, as well as programs for children and youth.

We prioritize accessibility and inclusion, working to break down barriers through workshops, training, and various initiatives. With over 6,000 members, 50 dedicated staff members, and 200 volunteers, we are a close-knit, supportive community. We invite blind and visually impaired individuals to join us and benefit from our services, while offering opportunities for volunteers who are eager to make a difference.
