About Hill County Health
The Hill County Health Department is a public health organization serving the Hill County community from the Courthouse Annex in Havre, Montana, across from the Havre-Hill County Library. Its mission is to promote physical and emotional health, foster personal responsibility, prevent disease, injury, and disabilities, and protect the environment through collaborative efforts.
The department organizes its work around preventing, promoting, and protecting community health. Prevention services include communicable disease prevention and immunizations, with a focus on helping limit the spread of disease. Promotion services include WIC, breastfeeding support, Connect MT, community involvement, and resources for families, including Parents as Teachers. The department also provides reproductive health services and nutritional information. Environmental health offerings include facility inspections, while public health emergency preparedness and disaster and emergency services support community protection.
The department encourages residents to contact its staff with questions about available services and to take part in its Community Health Needs Assessment. It is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
