About Hilliard Ohio Historical Society
The Hilliard Ohio Historical Society is dedicated to connecting people to the rich history of the Hilliard Ohio area. Their mission is to collect, preserve, and present historical artifacts, documents, and collections in order to educate and inspire current and future generations. Incorporated in 1966, the society's main objective was to create a historical village and museum that would showcase the early pioneer life of the community and the northwest section of Franklin County.
The society maintains a historical village and museum located in Weaver Park. This non-profit organization relies on private contributions, grants, and fundraising efforts to supplement public funds. The generous support from individuals, local businesses, and the community enables the society to maintain and restore numerous exhibits and buildings in the historical village.
The Hilliard Ohio Historical Society offers various opportunities for visitors to get involved, including tours of the historical village, a country store, and venues for events. They also welcome donations, memberships, and volunteers. By immersing visitors in the fascinating history of Hilliard Ohio, the society aims to inspire a deeper appreciation for the area's heritage
