About Hillside Dams
Hillside Dams Conservancy, located within the boundaries of Bulawayo City, is a cherished natural gem. The conservancy boasts an impressive expanse of natural vegetation that remains largely untouched, offering a sanctuary for a diverse array of species and a thriving bird population. This community-driven initiative is the result of a group of local residents who have worked tirelessly to revive and restore the conservancy as a premier recreational destination for all residents of Bulawayo.
Visitors to Hillside Dams can delight in various activities and services provided by the conservancy. The charming Tearoom, which has recently undergone a facelift, beckons visitors with its warm ambiance and delectable treats. The Tearoom opens its doors from Friday to Sunday, welcoming guests from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
To ensure a seamless experience, the park office operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. In addition to these offerings, Hillside Dams also hosts an array of exciting upcoming events throughout the year, promising memorable experiences for nature enthusiasts and community members alike.
