HiloImpact

HiloImpact is a creative initiative that brings people together through sewing, textile repair and upcycling. Its name pairs “Hilo,” the Spanish word for thread, with “Impact,” reflecting a mission to extend the life of clothing, reduce waste and create positive change in communities. Based in Munich, HiloImpact uses hands-on learning and locally salvaged materials to help people value what they already have and put circular-economy principles into practice.

The initiative offers creative repair and upcycling workshops for individuals, groups and teams, alongside educational programmes for schools, open mending circles and activities for public events. Its sessions welcome beginners as well as people looking to develop their skills, providing space to learn, make and share ideas. For companies, HiloImpact also offers training that explores how circular principles can inform everyday practices and business strategies.

Beyond workshops, HiloImpact builds connections among creatives, organisations, local businesses, volunteers and community members.
