About Hinson CPR
Hinson CPR, formerly Sierra BLS, provides American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and life-support training in Reno, serving Sparks, Carson City, and communities across northern Nevada. The local training site has taught in Reno since 2015 and offers small, hands-on classes with skills practice on feedback manikins. Courses include BLS Provider, Heartsaver CPR AED, ACLS, PALS, ASLS stroke care, and PHTLS prehospital trauma care.
They serve healthcare professionals and students, EMS teams, workplaces, coaches, and childcare providers. Students can review course dates and prices and register online, with evening and weekend options available. Training includes choosing a course, reserving a seat, practicing skills, and completing a skills check.
Successful students receive an official AHA eCard by email the same day, featuring a QR code employers can use to verify it. Hinson CPR is approved by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to issue CEUs and offers CAPCE-accredited AHA courses for EMS professionals.
